The records consist of two sub-groups, Andhra Christian College and Luthergiri Theological Seminary. The college and seminary records contain correspondence, catalogs, pamphlets, and reports. They are separated by school and arranged alphabetically. The second box of Andhra Christian College records deals with a 1946-1948 controversy surrounding President H.H. Sipes, who was accused of improprieties with a woman staff member, Violet Ramanjulu. The records on the Sipes matter include a 152-page manuscript of H.H. Sipes' view on the issues, as well as numerous letters to and from BFM members, college and church officials, missionaries, and his brother, C. Hale. Also included is a report from the chair of the college board, M.L. Dolbeer. There are as well files centering on a prior Sipes controversy in 1939.
